On Thursday May 2nd, P60 will host two fantastic Bluesrock bands. Voltage, known from Wild Ones and their recent single Leave It All Behind, will blow you away with their raw sound. Special guest The Commoners compliment them with their fantastic Rootsrock sound. They find common ground in the classic rock of Free and Led Zeppelin, and the southern flavours of Black Crowes and Blackberry Smoke, with hard-hitting riffs and wonderfully soul-tinged vocals.

About Voltage
Voltage has been hard at work since 2011 to create their own sound. And are inspired by various influences and their own musical heroes. Voltage is a real band, the four of them make sincere music directly from the heart. You can see and feel it!

Their new single, Leave It All Behind, is about the friendship between lead singer Dave Vermeulen and his best friend, who is in the military. "I'm trying to incorporate the similarities between our two completely different worlds into this song," says Dave. "As a musician, I'm often away from home and so is he, for example, now he's in Canada for six to eight weeks."

The single is a promising preview of their new album Fortunes & Willows, which they will release on April 12th. The year may have just begun, but the band is off to a flying start. With each album they take you into a story that has touched them in the past period and has come their way.

About The Commoners
"A sound that comes from the deep, oak belly of a whiskey barrel," that's The Commoners, a five-piece roots/blues-rock outfit hailing from Toronto, Canada. They offer a unique blend of tried-and-true musical elements, infusing their sound with energetic riffs, soulful vocals, and rich harmonies that take the listener on a journey through an authentic Southern-style rock experience. From the speakers to the stage, one thing's for sure: The Commoners are leading a renaissance of party rock, and audiences are cordially invited.
