BLANKO - Stop Making Sense
PRESALE
26.50AT THE DOOR
27.50This year, it will be forty years since the best concert film ever was shot at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Director Jonathan Demme ("Silence Of The Lambs" and "Philadelphia") captured the special atmosphere of this Talking Heads concert superbly.
Talking Head's frontman David Byrne walks onto the stage and plays Psycho Killer solo. After each song, more band members come on stage, which is simultaneously expanded by the technical team. Meanwhile words, photos and children's drawings are projected in the background.
BLANKO (ex-3J) takes on the role of the Talking Heads with no less than 10 fellow musicians and together they sing, play, dance, run and change clothes and instruments. Of course, songs like Heaven, Slippery People, Burning Down The House, Once In A Lifetime, Take Me To The River and others get a passionate performance.
