Throughout his career, which has taken him and his band to nearly 30 countries, Schofield has earned numerous awards and critical acclaim. He has won "British Blues Guitarist of the Year" three times, "British Blues Album of the Year," and was the first guitarist to be inducted into the "British Blues Awards Hall of Fame." He has also been recognized by Mojo Magazine as having the "Blues Album of the Year" and was listed by Guitar & Bass Magazine as one of the "Top Ten British Blues Guitarists of All Time," alongside legends like Eric Clapton and Peter Green.

Schofield's smooth and melodic guitar playing, along with his signature tone, has inspired countless guitarists. He even has his own line of signature instruments and gear, including the Two-Rock Matt Schofield amplifier. However, his live performances remain his most impressive achievement. Whether playing on main stages at major festivals like Montreal Jazz and North Sea Jazz, or in legendary clubs such as New York’s Iridium or London’s 100 Club, Schofield has a unique ability to deeply connect with audiences. His performances showcase his authentic style, guitar mastery, emotive vocals, and exceptional improvisation skills, all brought to life in his original compositions.

Schofield is also a respected music educator. In 2018, he released “Blues Speak,” a highly praised instructional series on TrueFire. As a clinician, he has taught in cities worldwide, from Tokyo to Texas.
