“The Robber Girl” is Meidi's second solo album, after her debut “Heartstrings”. Her sound is unique through the use of her seven stringed bass viol (viola da gamba) in a folk music and singer songwriter context. Her music stands out for the beautiful arrangements with harp, cello, nyckelharpa, violin, percussion, voice, bouzouki, hurdy gurdy and recorder. This evening, Meidi – along with her band Heartstrings – will be presenting her second solo-album. Accompanied by Waldkauz, this promises to be an evening you do not want to miss.

About Meidi Goh:
Meidi Goh is a folk musician and songwriter who is inspired by her magical inner world and stories. On her new album “The Robber Girl” the worlds of folk, fairytales and Renaissance and Baroque music meet in a unique and personal sound.

With a group of amazing musicians from the folk scene she formed the band “Heartstrings”. Together they present a collection of songs in which poety and magic are brought forth on both historical and folk instruments, in the tradition of artists and bands like Loreena McKennitt, Faun and Trolska Polska.

The songs are personal but also refer to universal and archetypal themes found in traditional ballads and fairytales. They are about hope, dreams and inner transformation.

About Waldkauz:
Songs about ancient magic, the dance of life and death, and the power of stories. A hypnotic mixture that invites you to dance. On historical and modern instruments, the band creates its mystical sound with influences from modern rock and European folk. Danceable rhythms combine with catchy melodies, and three unique singing voices enchant the audience.

In the 2023 season, WALDKAUZ will look back on 10 years as a nationally and internationally touring band. They have already played successful gigs at the Wacken Open Air, the Festival Mediaval and the Wave Gotik Treffen, as well as at Castlefest and the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum.
