In 1973 Jan Akkerman was voted the Best Guitarist in the World by the readers of the British music magazine Melody Maker . This token of recognition brought him world fame .

The anniversary show WALK OF MY LIFE focuses on Jan Akkerman and his long musical career of over 60 years. From the songs of Johnny & His Cellar Rockers, The Hunters and Brainbox , the world hits of Focus to the solo pieces from his latest album 'Close Beauty' (2019).  This show contains highlights from his impressive international career.

Jan Akkerman will play with: Coen Molenaar (keyboards), Marijn van den Berg (drums) and David de Marez Oyens (bass). Vocals are provided by Phil Bee (winner of The Voice Senior 2021).
